Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• English reading, writing, speaking proficiency for daily work.
• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas.
• CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred.
• Willing to complete onboarding paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for the client.
• Transfer/move clients safely within their home.
• Limit housekeeping to no more than 20% of time.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and shaving.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Dementia care and companionship activities.
