Job summary

Sierra Valley Rehab Center in Porterville, CA is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing team. The CNA provides essential daily living support, helps residents with activities, and ensures comfort, safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of California.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and dedicated to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and other measurements.
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Maintain clean and safe resident environments.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Ensure proper documentation and follow care plans.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
