Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct care for residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will support personal hygiene, nutrition, and safety while monitoring residents and reporting changes to the shift nurse.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe environment and safeguarding residents from abuse, with a focus on adapting to aging and ensuring comfort. This 0.8 FTE position requires day rotation and a 0600–1430 schedule.

Qualifications

• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date.
• If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant - Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Recognize changes in resident condition and promptly report to shift nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and neat resident environment; prevent abuse of vulnerable adults.
