Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care in the Wilson area. Shift schedule includes Monday, Wednesday 12:00–5:00 PM and Friday 1:00–4:00 PM, with potential for additional hours based on client needs.

The CNA will perform direct patient care, assist with personal hygiene, transfers, and daily living activities, while maintaining accurate records and following the Plan of Care with confidentiality and compassion.

Qualifications

• Maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to include ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks necessary to treat clients who may include lifting, bending and standing.
• Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care including bath, shave, hair care, mouth care.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by supervisors.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities based on client needs and interests.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and EVV time sheets as required.
• Record and report changes in client's condition.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
