Job summary

Mission Point Health Care in Michigan seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide quality resident care on full-time shifts including 6a-6p, 2p-10p, and 6p-6a with 2p-10p options.

The CNA collaborates with the care team, adheres to care plans, reports changes promptly, and maintains residents’ rights and dignity. Michigan CNA certification required; experience in long-term care preferred. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and are eligible to test.
• One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or health care is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that respects rights, dignity, and individuality.
• Attends to residents' needs including grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility per care plan.
• Maintains resident comfort, privacy, and dignity; keeps rooms tidy and linens clean.
• Reports incidents of abuse or rights violations to the charge nurse or administrator.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment; reports environmental deficiencies to facilities staff.
• Protects residents' belongings and assists in locating missing items when needed.
• Observes changes in condition or behavior and reports promptly to the Charge Nurse.
• Performs vital signs, weight checks, medication preparation tasks, and specimen collection.
• Assists with orientation for new residents and transfers; supports family education.
• Lifts and moves residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Assists with transportation to appointments or activities; participates in activities as directed.
• Completes documentation in PCC per policies and attends requested meetings.
• Follows safety and infection control procedures, including hand hygiene and PPE.
• Performs other tasks as required.
