Job summary

Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse at Winchester, VA. The role focuses on daily living activities, bathing, feeding, mobility, and maintaining a safe, clean unit environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant licensed in the State of Virginia. License must be in good standing (if not licensed, must be licensed within 120 days of date of hire).
• Active CPR/First Aide and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Accepts reports regarding status of assigned residents at beginning of shift and gives report at end of shift.
• Performs direct and indirect resident care activities as ordered and consistent with the facility’s policies and procedures.
• Assists residents with bathing, feeding, grooming, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Maintains patient safety and follows universal precautions.
• Documents care as necessary and participates in resident care planning.
