Job summary

Lakewood Healthcare Center seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. You will round with the team, assist with meals and activities, and help maintain resident comfort and safety while following all policies.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a nursing assistant program or have a CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical exposure during certification class.
• Desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, families and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals and report missing ID bands.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Serve water and meals, assist with feeding and dining.
• Dress residents and assist with dressing.
• Prepare residents for therapy, physician visits or activities.
• Ensure residents are clean, dry and well cared for.
• Report complaints, abuse, hazards and equipment issues to the Charge Nurse.
• Attend in-service programs and other duties as directed.
