Job summary

Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare Center in Angola, IN is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and support in all activities of daily living, ensuring the health, welfare and safety of residents.

You will assist with meals, hygiene, mobility and comfort, monitor vital signs, document care, maintain patient privacy under HIPAA, and follow professional standards while pursuing ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in accordance with state laws.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meals, feeding and providing water between meals.
• Assist with personal hygiene and toileting needs.
• Assist with ambulating, turning and positioning residents.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; record intake and output.
• Ensure resident comfort and respond to call lights; report observations.
• Document actions by completing forms and records.
• Protect privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Follow standards and policies including JCAHO where applicable.
• Update job knowledge through education and professional reading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
