Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient- and family-centered care across hospital units. The role supports activities of daily living, maintains patient dignity, and assists the nursing team with routine duties in a fast-paced environment.

The CNA will monitor vital signs, document in the EHR, and participate in infection prevention and safety protocols while adhering to Oregon Board of Nursing guidelines and SCHS policies.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant with Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Completion of SCHS CNA training within 45 days of hire.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing and feeding.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Respond to call lights promptly and ensure timely care.
• Maintain patient safety and provide supportive care within scope of CNA duties.
• Document care in the electronic health record per hospital standards.
