Job summary

Victorian Senior Care in Mayodan, NC is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist residents with activities of daily living in an assisted living setting. Duties include helping with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and placement according to care plans and physician orders.

Responsibilities emphasize resident safety, confidentiality, and dignity, with requirements for CNA/PC A certification within 6 months of hire and periodic health screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to Lift, Push, Pull and Carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program and maintain during employment.
• Must have a clear SBI record and maintain during period of employment.
• Must have two-step tuberculin skin test (first test prior to hire and second test within two weeks of first test).
• Must obtain/maintain C.N.A or Personal Care Aide Certificate (80-Hour) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living according to Care Plan.
• Assist residents with toileting, ambulation, eating, transferring, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Ensure residents are dressed appropriately in living areas and outdoors.
• Assist residents to maximize independence and movement.
• Perform personal care tasks as trained and per doctor orders.
• Respond to signaling calls and assist residents as needed.
• Assist residents with transportation when instructed by ED/Administrator.
• Support Activities Coordinator in carrying out planned activities.
• Keep clothes in proper order and help with bed making when needed.
• Provide clean towels and washcloths and maintain residents’ comfort and dignity.
• Handle resident equipment such as urinals and bed pans as required.
• Assist during mealtime and ensure snacks are provided.
• Orient new residents admitted to the home.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident status and changes as required.
