Job summary

The Cleveland Area Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide general nursing care under supervision. You will interact with patients, families and the care team, document vital signs, and support self-care across all ages and backgrounds.

You will work with R.N., L.P.N. and other team members to implement the care plan, maintain safety and HIPAA compliance, and participate in training and performance improvement activities as required.

Qualifications

• Current C.N.A license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care.
• Uses good communication skills to interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Assist all team members by being a patient advocate, resource, and contact person for patients.
• Provides basic education information to patients and family, focusing on self-care appropriate to their age and identified learning considerations and needs.
• Performs assessment data collection and documents objective data (vital signs, weight, etc.)
• Demonstrates an ability to remain calm, perform effectively and professionally during peak periods of activity and emergency situations.
• Assists with examination and procedures per request.
• Other duties as required.
• Utilizes universal precautions in obtaining specimens (urine, stool, etc.) and in delivery of patient care.
