Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by performing vital sign checks, hygiene assistance, and patient comfort measures in a high-acuity hospital setting. You will help maintain a clean, safe unit and support clerical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualified candidates will have CNA certification or be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with clinical experience, plus English communication proficiency and a current BLS certification or

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification or eligible and willing to obtain.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or enrolled in accredited nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical semester.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and stock nursing stations.
• Operate hospital equipment as directed and assist with related duties.
• Perform routine clerical tasks as assigned.
