Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our outpatient care team. You will perform CMA duties under the supervision of a licensed provider or RN, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and preparing exam rooms.

You will also assist with exams, document in the EMR, and support front-office tasks as needed. Current CMA certification and BLS are required, with at least one year of outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification at any recognized level (Instructor acceptable).
• CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certification required or on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CMA duties including vital signs, specimen collection, and injections as per policy.
• Assist physicians and RNs during exams and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and dispose of biohazard waste.
• Document procedures in EMR and assist with front-office tasks as needed.
