Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform CMA duties under the direction of a licensed provider in an outpatient setting. You will obtain vitals, collect specimens, and assist with exams while maintaining exam rooms and supplies.

You should have CMA certification and at least 1 year of outpatient experience. EMR experience (PowerChart) and basic phlebotomy skills are required to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy, EKG and BP skills required.
• Outpatient medical assisting experience preferred.
• CMAs/RMAs/CCMA/NCMA/MedCA or equivalent certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform CMA clinical duties under licensed provider supervision.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with exams.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
