Job summary

Casper Mountain Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide to join our nursing team in Casper, Wyoming. The CMA will administer medications, monitor resident responses, and document under supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, transfers, and daily living activities, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and compassionate care for residents in a skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Current Wyoming Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• Current Wyoming Medication Aide certification/authorization in good standing and eligible to perform medication-related duties.
• CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications as authorized and delegated in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.
• Follow medication administration procedures with correct resident identification and documentation.
• Maintain accurate medication records in EMR/MAR systems.
• Observe residents for effectiveness and adverse reactions and report to licensed nurses.
• Communicate medication concerns to supervising staff promptly.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and work areas.
• Record vital signs or observations as required before/after medication.
• Assist residents with ADLs and mobility as directed within scope.
• Provide compassionate resident support and document care accurately.
• Report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff.
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow individualized care plans and nursing instructions.
