Job summary

Dickson Healthcare & Rehab LLC is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our nursing team. The CMA administers medications under nurse supervision, supports residents with activities of daily living, and helps ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee CMA certification required.
• CNA certification preferred (state/facility policy).
• CPR certification preferred.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Follow the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
• Accurately document all medication administration in the eMAR.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and report changes promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Monitor medication supplies and report meds needing refill.
• Maintain accurate narcotic counts and medication records.
• Ensure infection control and safety procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, residents, and families.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that promotes resident dignity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
