Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a certificate as a Nurse Aide from an accredited provider.
• Must possess a certificate as a Medication Aide from an accredited provider.
• Must read, write, speak, understand English.

Responsibilities

• Dispense resident medications as ordered by a physician, following the 5-rights of medication administration.
• Track all prescription and non-prescription drugs and maintain complete records.
• Ensure residents take ordered medications and follow safety standards.
• Assist licensed nursing staff and observe residents during medication administration.
• Take and document vital signs and ensure proper storage of medications.
• Comply with documentation and physicians’ orders; adhere to facility policies.
