Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for our Hutchinson, KS community on the night shift. You will administer prescribed medications, monitor residents for side effects, and provide compassionate daily care to residents in a warm, home-like environment.

Working under the supervision of licensed staff, you’ll verify resident identities, document dosages and observations, and assist with activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program that meets state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
