You will follow established policies and work with the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator to maintain high resident care standards.

Qualifications

• Valid CMA certification required.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Compassion, patience, cheerful disposition when serving residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of medications to residents on your assigned unit.
• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, and other appointments, including transportation.
• Accurately prepare and administer medications, ensuring correct patient, time, dosage and route.
• Assist residents with hygiene, including bathing, and encourage self-help activities.
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain proper documentation.
• Present a professional image to residents and families through attire and conduct.
• Uphold residents' rights and address concerns responsibly.
