Job summary

Heritage Health in Rathdrum, Idaho is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered clinical team. You will support providers with vital signs, specimen collection, immunizations, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of nationally accredited CMA program or relevant work experience and RMA certification.
• Certification from a nationally recognized organization (AAMA, NHA, NCCT or AMT) or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BLS or ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum of one year of outpatient medical assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with supply ordering and tracking by communicating supply needs.
• Timely rooming of patients, performing vital signs, and history collection.
• Complete in-office standing orders including A1C’s, immunizations, and screenings.
• Prepping exam room and patient for procedures such as minor surgeries and exams.
• Call patients with lab/test results after provider review and recommendations.
• Document critical lab values/test results when received via telephone.
• Restock exam rooms weekly and maintain clean examination areas.
