Job summary

MedLink Georgia is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Habersham, GA clinic. The role involves assisting providers during examinations, recording histories and vitals, and maintaining a sterile, organized exam room.

The CMA will administer medications, perform basic lab tests, and educate patients on treatment plans. Strong communication and multitasking skills are required, along with experience using EHR systems like eClinicalWorks.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, multitasking and patient care skills are essential.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient histories, vital signs, and updates in EHR (eClinicalWorks).
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment is sterilized.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
• Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans.
