Job summary

MedLink GA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers with patient examinations, documentation, and routine care in Habersham, GA. The role involves preparing rooms, managing supplies, and ensuring accurate entry of vital signs and histories in the EHR system.

The ideal candidate will be a CMA with 1+ year of clinical experience, strong communication and multitasking abilities, and proficiency with EHRs.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, multitasking and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (eClinicalworks).
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
