Job summary

Orthopedic One in Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers during clinic hours by handling clerical tasks, patient intake, and exam room preparation. You will greet patients, update the EMR, assist with specimen collection, and help maintain clean, stocked exam rooms while ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

CPR/AED certification is required, and prior MA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program completion or experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required or maintained active.
• Experience with EMR and medical office software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clinic Coverage: manage patient flow, greet patients, and prepare them for visits or imaging.
• Intake: document vital signs, allergies, medications, and social history as assigned.
• Patient Care: assist with minor procedures, specimen collection, and venipuncture as trained.
• Administrative: update EMR, schedule follow-ups, and ensure accurate patient records.
• Maintenance: restock supplies, sterilize instruments, and keep spaces clean.
