Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible and pass state competency within 120 days of employment.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, and willingness to learn new nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Use the Care Plan to identify residents before serving meals, transferring, etc., as necessary.
• Report all accidents and incidents you observe immediately.
• Use only authorized abbreviations established by this facility when recording information.
• Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the charge/staff nurse as soon as possible.
