Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a part-time Cemetery Groundskeeper who will maintain and repair cemetery grounds, ensuring safety and high service quality for visitors and staff. This role emphasizes careful upkeep, reliable performance, and adherence to professional standards.

The position requires a high school equivalency, 2+ years in maintenance, ability to operate equipment, strong organizational and customer service skills, and willingness to work holidays or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency required.
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all landscape maintenance duties such as weed‑whacking, lawn mowing, etc.
• Maintain equipment.
• Handle all functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely.
• Install or assist with installation of cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day‑to‑day general maintenance duties.
• Handle snow removal (if applicable).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
