Senior Solutions, Inc. in Lafayette, LA seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care, under supervision.

The role involves assisting with daily activities, reporting observations, reviewing care plans, participating in standards of care, and maintaining confidentiality, with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plan, and spending accounts.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience or student nurse preferred.
• Completion of certification program for Nursing Assistants preferred.
• Experience working with the elderly is desirable.
• Must be able to read, speak and write the English language.
• Must be certified in CPR, first aid training with nurse instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assists the resident in daily routines, personal care and housekeeping.
• Reports observations and other pertinent information related to the care of the resident.
• Provides services that support care and reviews care plans for changes.
• Contributes to formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
• Participates in identifying staff educational needs.
• Maintains professional conduct according to unit policies.
• Cleans rooms and changes bed linens as needed.
• Assists with Activity Participation and documents resident participation.
• Ensures call lights are answered promptly.
• Assists with dietary responsibilities, serving meals and cleaning area.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident care information.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Nursing Assistant certification

CPR certification

First aid training
