Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is seeking compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team. We provide non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support in clients' homes, helping maintain dignity and independence.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of personal care experience, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills to work one-on-one with clients and follow individual care plans. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred.
• Proof of TB testing required.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties.
• Must have reliable transportation and, if transporting clients, a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be mature, caring, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work independently while following the client’s care plan.
• Must successfully pass required criminal background and fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• As a Caregiver/PCA, provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily living support.
• Assist with bathing and grooming; toileting and incontinence care; dressing and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding; light housekeeping; laundry; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support; encourage independence and social engagement.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and safe movement throughout the home.
• Provide medication reminders according to the client’s plan.
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments and errands when applicable.
