Job summary

Servant Home Care - Indianapolis, IN is seeking Home Health Aides and experienced caregivers to support clients in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Positions include part-time, full-time, and PRN.

Caregivers must have reliable transportation, clean background, BLS certification, and 2+ years of caregiving experience. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, transportation to appointments, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Strong understanding of patient care procedures and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting and assisting patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance to individuals in a residential setting.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Respect and uphold resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Drive residents to appointments, activities, or outings as needed.
• Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, errands, or community care locations.
• Document transportation activities accurately in accordance with facility policies.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during transit.
