Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Caregiver in West Virginia. You will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping with daily living activities, personal care, nutrition, exercise, and community participation.

We offer on demand pay options, full benefits for full-time employees, and opportunities for growth. Daytime and overnight roles are available.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care (eating, dressing, bathing and toileting) and the ability to stay calm and problem solve in stressful situations.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered caregiving to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Help participants grow, learn, and live well by supporting daily living activities and participation in community activities.
• Assist with personal care, nutrition, exercise, and budgeting and dental hygiene goals as outlined.
• Build real, meaningful relationships with participants and work with supervisors to ensure quality care.
