Job summary

StoryPoint Beaverdale is seeking a Caregiver/Medication Manager to provide compassionate assistance for residents and pass medications according to protocols. You will support daily living activities, monitor health indicators, and report changes to nursing staff. Certification on site may be pursued; CPR and First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on site at community if not already certified
• Previous healthcare geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred
• Desire to work with geriatric population
• Training per state requirements
• Must have current CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Bathe and clean residents as needed and maintain hygiene
• Follow medication administration protocols for each resident
• Assist in grooming, teeth cleaning, nails, and glasses care
• Make beds, change linens, and keep rooms tidy
• Check vital signs and report abnormalities to the nurse
• Assist with transport, ROM, and ADLs as assigned
• Respond to emergencies and assist with daily activities
• Maintain safety and resident dignity, respect privacy
• Complete daily assignment sheets and document care accurately
