Job summary

Meadow Lane Assisted Living & Memory Care in Michigan seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to ensure resident comfort, safety and daily care while honoring individual preferences.

You will administer medications, review orders, document accurately and support activities of daily living, meals, and mobility. Join a compassionate care team and maintain professional communication with residents, families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and document completion.
• Review eMAR each shift to ensure timely administration of medications and treatments.
• Review incoming medication orders for accuracy; update eMAR accordingly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in service plans.
• Answer resident call lights, door and safety alarms promptly.
• Observe and report resident changes to Care Coordinator and Director of Resident Care.
• Order/re-order medications to ensure adequate supply.
• Complete daily charting, documentation, and reporting as required.
• Obtain resident weights and vitals.
• Participate in training new employees as requested.
• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, work areas and common spaces.
