Job summary

WellQuest of Menifee Lakes in Menifee, CA is hiring for a Full Time Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, meal service and safety. Must be 18+, have a basic First Aid card and criminal background clearance.

Duties include responding to residents promptly, aiding mobility, supporting activities, and maintaining a clean, dignified environment. Training and certifications are required by state policy.

Qualifications

• Criminal record clearance required.
• Must complete annual training.
• Must hold a current basic First Aid Card.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL tasks as needed, including bathing, grooming and hygiene.
• Respond promptly to residents’ needs while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Help residents in/out of bed and wheelchair using safe lifting techniques.
• Assist with mealtime service and clearing tables; deliver room trays.
• Encourage residents to participate in daily activities and chores.
• Keep resident rooms neat and maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure residents are dressed and groomed appropriately.
• Report changes in residents' condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Respond to pull chords/alerts and carry a radio as required.
• Assist Activities staff with planned programs and preparations.
• Complete care sign-off sheets by end of each shift.
• Help new residents settle in and introduce them to others.
• Support medication aides when needed and assist with tasks.
• Follow Universal Precautions for exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Participate in fire and safety procedures as required.
• Maintain professional, tactful interactions with residents, families.
• Attend scheduled trainings and mandatory staff meetings.
• Maintain certifications/licensures as required by state policy.
• Support property’s marketing efforts through friendly tours and calls.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, guests.
• Encourage teamwork and a positive company image.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
