Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide dementia care and daily living support in a respectful, person-centered environment. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor health conditions, document changes, and follow state regulations.

Strong communication in English and compassionate teamwork are essential. Experience with dementia, patience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s type.
• State regulations for medication assistance may apply; follow applicable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Observe and report changes in health or behavior to supervisor.
• Maintain resident records and document care provided daily.
• Follow medication procedures as permitted by state regulations and physician orders.
