Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring to support Connecticut clients with compassionate non-medical home care. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, mobility support, and companionship across multiple service areas in Connecticut.

You will follow individualized care plans, help with errands, meal prep, and document care as directed. A driver’s license and background check are required, with flexible weekday/weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed
