Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. You will follow individualized Plans of Care, transport clients to appointments, assist with daily activities, and offer companionship in a supportive home setting.

We value reliability and a caring presence; a high school diploma or GED is required, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check. Flexible weekday, weekend, overnight, and live-in shifts are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver (HHA/CNA/PCA/Companion) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence—offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
