Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring in Connecticut to provide non-medical home care to clients in their own homes. Flexible scheduling includes weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Role involves assisting with daily activities, transportation, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship as outlined in each client’s Plan of Care. Valid license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
