Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring a compassionate caregiver to provide non-medical home care in clients' homes across Connecticut. You will follow individualized plans, transport clients, assist with daily tasks, and offer companionship.

A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, with open availability preferred. We value dependable, empathetic caregivers who can work Weekdays, Weekends, Overnights, or Live-In shifts, and who can participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance with a reliable vehicle.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence—offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
