Job summary

REM West Virginia, part of Sevita, is hiring a Full Time Caregiver for day shifts. Earn $14.75 per hour with on-demand pay options and a comprehensive benefits package. A valid driver’s license is required.

You will build meaningful relationships, support daily living activities, assist with personal care, and help participants reach goals in group homes or waiver settings. Training is provided; growth opportunities exist in a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Cooking, cleaning, assisting with personal care, such as eating, dressing, bathing and toileting and the ability to stay calm and problem solve in stressful situations
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions

Responsibilities

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Support participants with personal care and daily living activities.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals like budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist people with diverse needs, including autism, in group homes or waiver settings.
• Provide a safe, supportive home environment and responsive care.
