Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community settings. As a caregiver, you’ll assist with daily living, personal hygiene, and activities that promote independence and a meaningful life in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals like budgeting, exercise and nutrition.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy activities.
