Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver Assistant to support resident care at our Champaign branch. Starting pay begins at $16.50 per hour, with full-time benefits for 30+ hours per week and daily pay options.

You will help residents meet daily needs with compassion and maintain their dignity. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, meals, activities, and communicating with branch leadership when needs change.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or one-year related experience.
• Willing to successfully complete the Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.
• Willing to take additional training or education, which states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident's daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident's needs change.
• Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
