Job summary

Meadows on McCarty is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our 2nd shift team, providing personal hygiene support, mobility assistance, and companionship to elderly residents. You will work one-on-one with clients, monitor daily needs, and respond quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities include helping with medications, meals, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flexible nights/weekends, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Available to work nights and/or weekends.
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
• Take pride in providing high quality care.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
