Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Resource Team on the day shift. The role supports RN/LPN staff with basic nursing tasks, patient care, and safety, including hourly rounding and safe patient handling.

The position requires CNA training, BLS certification, and up to date eligibility to work in the US. Per diem day shifts offer weekend coverage and seasonal holiday rotations within a multi-unit hospital setting.

Qualifications

• CNA certification/training required.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation preferred.
• Current BLS healthcare provider certification.
• Eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; answer call lights and phones.
• Assist with patient mobility and Safe Patient Handling per RN/LPN guidance.
• Provide ADL assistance and personal care under supervision.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers; orient patients to room.
• Perform procedures and treatments under nurse direction; document activities.
• Act as a care companion or sitter as needed to ensure patient safety.
• Support department tasks such as restocking, cleaning equipment, and delivering supplies.
