Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a part-time Care Attendant to provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents at our Newton, IA campus. The role involves assisting with ADLs, helping with medication administration, and supporting daily living activities in a supportive team environment.

Shifts include Day and Evening hours; training is provided. Join a nonprofit organization dedicated to high-quality care, respect, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar setting preferred.
• Medication certification required.
• A passion for geriatric care.
• Strong communication skills with residents and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to commit to a consistent work schedule.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Help with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Take and record vitals (temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, respiration).
• Document services on the computerized charting system.
• Observe residents and report changes to the supervisor.
