Prestwick Care Group in North Tyneside is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, mobility and emotional well-being. The role offers full-time or part-time hours, training and career development within a supportive team.

Applicants must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom, with enhanced DBS clearance and adherence to care plans and safety standards. In-person work location and shift flexibility are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and calm disposition.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Basic understanding of care procedures and health & safety practices.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• English proficiency sufficient to carry out the role effectively.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
• Satisfactory Right to Work in the UK (must be maintained).

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, eating).
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and physical activities as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs where trained.
• Provide emotional support, reassurance and companionship.
• Assist nursing staff with basic care tasks.
• Promote dignity, privacy and choice at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Communicate with residents, families and healthcare team about needs and wellbeing.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and company policies.
