Senior Suites at St. Clair Commons in Saint Clairsville, OH is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to assist residents with daily living activities and promote independence.

The role emphasizes dignity, personalized care, and adherence to care plans, with duties spanning ADL tasks, meals, and engagement in activities. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a state-approved PCA training or willingness to complete it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of state-approved personal care training program or willing to complete upon hire.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and respect for older adults.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs; frequent standing and walking.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrate compassion, integrity, and reliability in all duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and snacks per individualized plans
• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities
• Maintain a clean, safe environment; promptly report maintenance or safety issues
• Document care provided in electronic or paper records per policy
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional status to supervisor
