Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion for 16 total hours of training in lactation support, childbirth education, anatomy, nonmedical comfort measures, prenatal and labor support, and community resources.
• Extensive childbirth experience required; five years in the capacity as a doula within last seven years is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, physical, moral, and educational support to mothers throughout labor and postpartum.
• Assist with breastfeeding support and postpartum follow-up as needed.
• Educate and teach childbirth prep, newborn care, pregnancy and breastfeeding classes.
