Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a Hospice Bereavement Coordinator to coordinate and support grief services within the center. This role will supervise volunteers, coordinate staff and families, and apply extensive knowledge to meet schedules and goals.

The coordinator oversees program activities, communicates with team members, and ensures resources are used effectively while keeping within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Education and work experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.
• Five years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and offer counseling to patients and families in bereavement.
• Organize and coordinate bereavement services, schedule support groups, and provide information on services.
• Document bereavement services and prepare materials for clients and families.
• Collaborate with bereavement team members, families, service providers and the community.
