Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in New Orleans area is hiring a Substance BHT/Driver for our Outpatient Program located in Metairie, LA. You will support admissions, transportation, and daily operations while ensuring client safety and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
• Record and elevate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
• Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary
• Collect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary
• Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with any luggage
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times
