Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge, LA, is hiring a BHT Client Driver for our outpatient treatment facility. You will support admissions, transportation, meals, medications, supervision, and office tasks while engaging clients in a recovery‑oriented environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and a sobriety history if in recovery. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification required.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
• Record and escalate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
• Monitor transportation schedule, safely transporting clients for admit, discharge and appointments as necessary
• Collect and deliver all external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary
• Engage clients on peer support level during transport, and assist with any luggage
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED required
