Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Pulaski, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician PRN to support nursing staff and provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care, document observations, and assist with mobility while leading groups and performing clerical duties as part of a clinical team.

Qualified candidates will have Basic Cardiac Life Support within 90 days, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• CNA certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Fundamentals of Nursing course is preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under RN supervision to deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the care cycle.
• Document observations, patient responses, and changes at time of occurrence.
• Lead or co-lead groups on goals, community, leisure, and wrap-up topics.
• Assist with mobility, turning, positioning and transfers between units.
• Perform clerical duties such as chart assembly, filing, phones, and messages.
